Kalamazoo River in Kalamazoo, MI: 6 people protested in solidarity with the people around the world who are impacted by oil disasters and to save our ecosystems from capitalist greed

Today 6 people gathered by the Kalamazoo River in Kalamazoo to protest the million gallon oil spill from Enbridge's pipeline several days ago. There was a larger protest in Marshall, Mi where the spill originated.  One mother with her daughter heard about the action on local TV news, and came to express her outrage at this careless accident.  She played and fished on the river growing up and  demands the River be restored and cleaned up.  We protested in solidarity with the people around the world who are impacted by oil disasters and to save our ecosystems from capitalist greed. -Joetta
